Title: Sparkle Naps

Date: 2018

City: Shenkar Multidisciplinary Art School, Ramat Gan

Performance and installation in collaboration with sound artist and performer Stav Yeini. A Double king size bed made out of wood, sponge, different textured fabrics and gaffer tape. The bed was equipped with bass transducers, making the sound work audible as well as physical when lying on the beds. The surrounding included blankets, sparkle stalactites and an LED cloud. The performance included creating and mixing sounds, treating visitors bodies and eyes with cloth, handing out warm tea and biscuits and spreading aromatherapeutic oils. The work was exhibited in semester break, a time when the school is mostly empty, and allowed for school staff and occasional visitors and students to take a nap during these relaxed times.
